About Me

I am originally from Calgary, Alberta, and my background and training is as a classical pianist.

Professionally, I am a senior arts administrator specializing in organizational management, marketing, communications and project management. I have worked with some of Canada’s finest arts organizations including the National Arts Centre, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Foundation, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and many others.

I have enjoyed a 25-year career in arts administration, but I have always identified myself first and foremost as a musician. After a long hiatus from playing (except for the occasional church service or accompanying my daughter on violin), I recently returned to music-making when I took up carillon lessons with the Dominion Carillonneur at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. I miss that a great deal living in Hong Kong where, inexplicably, there are no carillons.

My husband Paul is in technical theatre and is the instigator of our great Hong Kong adventure. We have a beautiful daughter who is studying music at the University of Guelph in southern Ontario.
