The move went really well. Our international movers, Brytor International, were amazing. So professional, very experienced, efficient, calm, and calming… I had not a moment of concern about their work throughout the pack and load-out.
The piano moving was handled by a crew from Don Pinnard Piano Moving Specialists who, through intricate choreography and sheer brute force, delivered the piano into its temporary home on the shipping container.
The house is now empty, cleaned up and ready to hand over tomorrow.
Our shipping container will go by truck to Montreal and then by rail to Halifax. There it will be loaded onto a shipping vessel bound for Rotterdam. In Rotterdam, it will be unloaded and reloaded onto a Hong Kong-bound ship, where it is scheduled to arrive on September 11. All our worldly possessions are now literally on the slow boat to China.
There’s no turning back now.
